Yerba Mate

All Yerba Mate steeps are made from a plant found in South America, and they are prepared and consumed exactly like any other tea that you may be familiar with.  The only real difference is the plant.  Some will note that Yerba Mate is a little more earthy in very subtle ways, much as coffee is, and it is often selected by regular coffee drinkers for that reason, even though there is no coffee flavor.

Yerba Mate has caffeine, but most agree that it is less of a jolt than with coffee, slowly increasing and then decreasing, thereby no caffeine crash.  This makes it a wonderful choice for that after lunch cup with you are just starting to feel a bit lethargic, but don't need a heavy caffeine jolt either.  Try some... we think you'll like it.
